Center for Multicultural Affairs

Two primary, interrelated goals define the Center for Multicultural Affairs’ mission. The first is to maintain a pivotal role in Duke’s steadfast commitment to provide students of color and cultural communities a quality educational experience. The second is to ensure, by participating in the formulation and implementation of a diversity agenda, that all Duke students are given an opportunity to receive a first-rate multicultural education. The Center, to fulfill its mission within the Division of Student Affairs, assumes the lead in offering educationally based cross-cultural programs and providing technical support on multicultural issues for the university community.
