Muslim Life at Duke
Muslim life on campus is facilitated by two organizations: the Muslim Students Association, and the Muslim Chaplain from the Muslim Life @ Duke Office. In addition to many social events, the community sponsors a wide variety of educational forums throughout the year- ranging from lectures and discussions, all the way to artistic demonstrations. The organizations also sponsor many activities related to interfaith, community service, and social activism. Jummah is held each Friday in the YORK ROOM located in the Gray building, on West Campus at 12:45 PM and in DUKE HOSPITAL NORTH, Room 2253 at 1:30 PM. Daily Prayers are observed on the Lower Level of the Bryan Center on West Campus and can be accessed by Duke students 24/7. Both Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha are observed, if they occur during the school year.
