Housing, Dining & Residence Life (HDRL)

Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors

Information for 2013-2014 Housing

Upperclass undergraduate students live on Duke’s West and Central campuses. If you’re a senior who has lived on campus for the required six Fall and Spring semesters, you can choose to stay on campus or find your own place in Durham.

Sophomore Year Experience (SYE)

Welcome to your sophomore year!  Duke’s Sophomore Year Experience (SYE) Program aims to empower sophomores to excel through providing opportunities to enhance academic and professional success, sense of belonging, engagement with faculty, overall wellness, and community citizenship and leadership.

Summer Housing

Summer housing is available for students enrolled in classes or working for the University. Reasons for living on campus in the summer include:

  • I am an undergraduate student planning to attend Summer Session 1 (limited availability), Summer Session 2 or both summer sessions.
  • I am an undergraduate student planning to work at Duke this summer.
  • I am a graduate student continuing my academic program this summer.
  • I am staying on Central Campus for Summer Session 2 and need holdover housing before I can move into my housing assignment for the 2013-2014 academic year.
