Our student leaders (IHOPs) will be helping you to make a smooth transition to your life at Duke and in Durham. All IHOPs will be at International Orientation in August to welcome you!

Want to be an IHOP and help new students get acclimated to Duke and Durham?  Applications will be accepted for 2013-14 until March 30, 2014.

Pre-Departure Questions

In addition to the many resources contained in this website, there some forums and listservs you can join to get more specific questions answered:

  • Look for an email from your IHOP - subject line should read "from your IHOP" or something similar.  Be sure and check your Duke email often.
  • You can join the International House listserv (intlhouse@duke.edu) .  Hundreds of international students, scholars, spouses, and many others are subscribed and it is a primary resource for finding housing, roommates, cars, used furniture, and any other goods or information you could want.
