Want to be an IHOP and help new students get acclimated to Duke and Durham?  Applications will be accepted for 2013-14 until March 30, 2014.

Pre-Departure Questions

In addition to the many resources contained in this website, there some forums and listservs you can join to get more specific questions answered:

  • Look for an email from your IHOP - subject line should read "from your IHOP" or something similar.  Be sure and check your Duke email often.
  • You can join the International House listserv ( .  Hundreds of international students, scholars, spouses, and many others are subscribed and it is a primary resource for finding housing, roommates, cars, used furniture, and any other goods or information you could want.
