Walking

From West Campus Bus Stop
When facing the Duke Chapel, go up the sidewalk leading to the Chapel on the left side of the bus stop. The first building on your left (across from Perkins Library) will be the West Union Building. Enter the building and go left down the hallway to the Duke Card Office. At the end of the hall turn left and head up the stairs. The MLWC is located on the second floor.

From the Bryan Center
Exit from the rear of the Bryan Center (nearest the bookstore). Walk the enitre length of the plaza away from the Bryan Center, past the seating area, the performance stage, and the restaurants (all on the left). At the end of the walkway is a stone archway. Under the archway, is a large wooden door to the left. Take this left into the West Union and follow the steps up to the second floor. The Mary Lou Williams Center is at the top of the second floor landing.

Driving

From Raleigh/RDU Airport
Take I-40 West to the Durham Freeway/Hwy. 147 and proceed with directions "From the Durham Freeway" below.

From the Durham Freeway/Hwy 147 to the Bryan Center Parking Lot
Take the Durham Freeway/Hwy 147 to the Chapel Hill Street Exit [Exit 13]. Turn right off the ramp and follow Chapel Hill Street down to Towerview. At the stoplight on Towerview make a right. Follow Towerview to Science Drive. At the stoplight, turn right onto Science Drive. Down the street on your right you will see signage for the Bryan Center Visitors Lot. Turn right into the driveway for parking options.

To the MLW Center from the Bryan Center Parking Lot
Exit the parking lot by walking away from Science Dr. toward the Chapel/Bryan Center. Follow the sidewalk into the traffic circle. At the opposite end of the circle, follow the sidewalk that leads to the rear of the Bryan Center. Make a left, walking away from the Bryan Center rear entrance, and up the plaza walkway. Walk the enitre length of the plaza away from the Bryan Center, past the seating area, the performance stage, and the restaurants (all on the left). At the end of the walkway is a stone archway. Under the archway, is a large wooden door to the left. Take this left into the West Union and follow the steps up to the second floor. The Mary Lou Williams Center is at the top of the second floor landing.
