Duke Dining is pleased to announce that Au Bon Pain, “the place of good bread,” is joining their team.

Au Bon Pain (ABP) will officially open to campus August 17, with daily hours from 7am to midnight. ABPs soft opening, held on August 16, was a great success, packed with folks who have been waiting to see the renovated digs and taste the renowned menu.

Located in the Bryan Center, ABP's signature items in cluding breads, pastries, sandwiches, salads, soups, and coffee, are served in welcoming café environments emphasizing quick service and hospitality. They also cater.

In addition to the quality of their food and the healthy choices they provide, ABP's nationally recognized customer service was on full display throughout the opening. Rick Johnson, AVP of Housing, Dining and Residence Life on campus, noted that all the employees had big smiles on their faces and a friendly greeting to everyone, a fact he was clearly pleased to see.

Nick Sandilands, general manager of Duke's ABP location, said he was "excited to be part of the campus community. We're committed to providing great tasting, healthy food to everyone on campus." He encourage all comers to come in and sign up for a free ABP  refillable cup and freebies on for birthdays and signup anniversaries.

Founded in 1978 Au Bon Pain has grown into an internationally recognized leader in the fast casual restaurant category.  Come check out the newest dining option on campus beginning with breakfast service at 7am Friday, August 17.
