In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Assalamu’alaikum!

As we welcome the Blessed Month of Ramadan, we wanted to invite you to our “CML Ramadan Program”:

  • On Tuesday (June 16th) evening at 6:30pm we will have a “Preparing 4 Ramadan Session” at the CML. We will discuss and review blessings of this month, and write down tangible goals. Dinner will also be provided by CML.
  • Insha'Allah we will start Ramadan and Taraweeh prayers the night of Wednesday the 17th; the first day of fasting and dinner will be served on Thursday 18th. We will have catering from Curry Point Express and Medi-Terra on rotating days with rotating menus. The following will be the programming schedule Mondays-Thursdays until the end of Ramadan Insha'Allah:
    • Iftar @ Maghrib (Approximately 8:35pm)
    • Maghrib Prayer
    • Dinner and Socializing after Maghrib
    • Eshaa' Prayer (Approximately 10pm)
    • Taraweeh Prayer 4 Rak'ah
    • Ramadan Reminder (5 minutes)
    • Taraweeh Prayer 4 Rak'ah
    • Witr Prayer
    • End- (Approximately 10:45pm).
  • Friday-Sunday the students are encouraged to visit local mosques in the triangle area for iftar/prayers. Locally in Durham, IBR (http://www.ibadarrahman.org) has invited us personally, but others are also a potential option of course including the IAR (http://www.raleighmasjid.org) and others. Additionally, if you are looking for a longer taraweeh, you are most welcome to visit the local mosques as well for their prayers during the week.
  • On Saturday, June 20th at the CML, we will have a “Qiyaam-A-Thon”. Where will have a longer Halaqah, fun activities, and food, in addition to an extended spiritual program.
  • Please note that on June 25th we will have iftar at the John Hope Franklin Center at the "Call of Cairo Reception", with iftar and Maghrib prayers (space provided) resuming the Eshaa' and Taraweeh programs at the CML after conclusion of the program.  https://www.facebook.com/events/849161645120110/
  • Additionally, starting July 10th and July 11th, the Turkish mosque (http://www.iitsnc.org) will have "tent days" inviting people of all faiths (including Duke students) to attend.

Please spread the word to other Duke students! BarakAllahufeekum and look forward to see you all soon Insha’Allah!

Sincerely,

Imam Adeel
