First-years, are you taking advantage of one of the most important resources available to you through the Career Center? If not, please start utilizing CareerConnectionsIf you have not done so already, please login and complete your profile so you can unveil tools which will help you navigate your professional development through your time at Duke.  I know you are wondering, what is this resource? Well, CareerConnections houses internships, Career Center and employer-hosted events, and much more! Please check out the top 5 tools you will find on your dashboard that make CareerConnections such a great resource.

1.     My Profile
Once you complete your profile and upload your current resume, career advisers will have the opportunity to learn more about you and, when you are ready, it will be very easy to share with employers.

2.     Job & Internship Search
View and apply to jobs and internships through CareerConnections. This can also be a way to explore various fields, industries, and positions by reviewing the position descriptions and the organizations. There are 848 internships listed today!

3.     Events
The Career Center and employers host tons of events throughout the semester and they are all listed in CareerConnections! Some of these events include career fairs, Practice Interview Day, and employer information sessions. Feel free to view events and register to those which are of interest to you. Attending these events are a great way to help you prepare professionally and continue to explore opportunities.

4.     Advising
If you would like to schedule an appointment with a career adviser to discuss your interests, internship search strategy, or have any type of career and professional development conversation, here is where you can schedule a 1:1 appointment.

5.     Companies
This is a great tool as it allows you the opportunity to research companies and explore industries or fields which may be of interest.
