Wellness Day Planning Committee

 

April 12, 2021, marked the first annual Wellness Day at Duke. The day was one of celebration and reflection--acknowledging all students have managed over this past unprecedented year, while also recognizing the need for a moment to pause and reflect as they prepare to head into the last weeks of the semester and finals. It was wonderful to see the Duke community out and about on campus enjoying the day and participating in fun, relaxing activities. The day provided a sense of ‘normalcy’ and was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise non-traditional year.  As part of the planning committee, it was a pleasure working with our on-campus partners who came up with amazing activities to offer to the Duke community.

Located in West Africa, Cameroon is bordered by Nigeria, Chad, the Central African Republic, the Republic of the Congo, Gabon, and Equatorial Guinea. In addition, Cameroon is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the southwest. Yaoundé is the capital of Cameroon. Christianity and Islam are the major religions. Cameroon’s official languages are English and French, but with about 250 different groups tied to Cameroon, more than 270 languages and dialects are spoken. The Niger-Congo group alone has 169 languages.
