Reminiscing about the end of summer? Join us this week for a trip to Samoa! This island nation is located in Oceania in the South Pacific, and it consists of two main islands, Savai’i and Upolu. Apia is the capital city, which is located on Upolu. Samoa is neighbored by several islands, including American Samoa, Tokelau, Niue, Tonda, and Fiji. However, the International Date Line places Samoa 24 hours ahead of its closest neighbor, American Samoa.

This week, we travel to Cyprus in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, the third largest Mediterranean island, after Sicily and Sardinia. Less than 10,000 km2 in area, Cyprus packs a lot into its small size. It is well known for its rich supply of minerals, wines, produce, and natural beauty.

This week, we are going to the Caribbean and visiting Haïti. Haïti is located on the Caribbean Island of Hispaniola, which it shares with the Dominican Republic to the west. With a population of about 10 million and an area of 10,714 sq. miles, Haïti is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Less than a third of Haïti’s population is clustered in the capital city of Port-au-Prince, while most of the population resides in rural areas.
