A nap, a big hug, some really really good food, and snuggling with your dog are a few of the mental images the âTake What You Needâ board offers. The end of the semester can be a stressful time and while a weekend at the beach would be great, sometimes just taking a moment to imagine yourself on vacation is enough to catch your breath.

Congratulations to the following students, organizations, faculty and staff, who have been nominated to receive Duke Universityâs most prestigious campus-wide honors for student leadership and service. Awards recipients and nominees will be celebrated at In The Spotlight on April 20, 2017, 5 pm, Arts Annex. The event is open to the Duke community.
It's already November! That means the fall semester is almost over and you may be asking yourself how you missed August, September, and October. Don't worry, it's easy for the semester to fly by so fast; especially with all of the opportunities on campus. This summer has been fairly chaotic around the Bryan Center as the building underwent a massive facelift. When you get to campus this August it’s likely that you won’t even recognize the building. In fact, you’ll probably have many questions. “Where is the post office? Where is the UCAE Finance Team? Where did this futuristic chair come from? Where is all of that natural light coming from?” All good questions that I’m hoping to clear up a little with this blog post; however, you really need to stop by in person on Monday, August 26th for the grand reopening and check it all out for yourself.
Where is everything? That’s a very complex question, but here’s a brief answer: Upstairs, downstairs, and all over the BC. A longer and more detailed answer would layout the location of all of the changes, so here we go:

Some people were born to lead. Others were meant to dream about doing cool shit but ultimately end up eating Cheetos while watching GIRLS. Can you guess which one I am?
Leadership is either something you are born into, do to inflate your ego, or struggle through in an attempt to get into a college. This is why I joined Key Club and Student Government my senior year in high school. Key Club was pretty fun, mostly because our advisor was slightly batshit and we got to travel to cool places like NEW MEXICO.
That aside, if you’re like me, you are quite surprised by how much shit Dukies do and when they start doing it. Immediately upon entering, everyone is on East Campus Council, or looking for their niche elsewhere. I didn’t know how to wake up in time for my 10:05, let alone what my niche was.
