Paul joined the Graduate Services team at the Career Center after finishing his PhD in Social Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill.  While at UNC, Paul taught multiple psychology courses and mentored undergraduate students as a research and honors thesis advisor.  He has a passion for helping graduate students navigate the tricky waters from graduate school into nonacademic careers, and he utilizes insights from his academic research, which focused on understanding complexity in the world and assessing how individuals deal with complexity in their own lives.  While completing his degree, he also worked at The Strategy Team, Ltd., a market research firm that provides strategic support for clients in the public, non-profit, and private sectors, as well as Applied Research Associates, Inc., where he worked on a government-funded project aiming to improve probabilistic forecasting applications for the national intelligence community.

Each day, we're asking students to reflect upon and share values, interests, skills and other individual preferences that relate to professional and career decisions. We know that the ability to articulate aspects of your own life story, publicly and in professional settings, is one of the critical components in any job or internship search. Listen to a recording of an essay about one of MY beliefs that I hold strongly enough to share with you.

In his spare time, Paul enjoys attempting to regain his old form as a tennis player and spending time with his wife, Melissa, and their two dachshunds.
