At the beginning of the fall semester, we are offering Labs on particular career topics. During a lab, you can stay to work on your resume, cover letter or networking skills and receive feedback as you work. While Drop-in Advising usually lasts about 15 minutes per student, in a Lab you can stay for a couple of hours to make substantial progress.

Graduate Student Career Labs
During our one-hour career labs, students will practice skills important for networking and searching for jobs and internships. Labs will focus on the following topics:
• Networking events and conferences
• Informational interviewing
• Phone and virtual interviewing
• Talking with recruiters
• Creating professional relationships
• Making small talk
• Interview practice
