The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity is excited to implement the Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program. The Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program connects first-year students with upperclass students with the aim of easing the transition into Duke University. Students may choose to participate in the program for a number of reasons, however, it is our goal that students may benefit in the following ways:

  1. learn about campus resources
  2. connect and engage with the sexual and gender diverse community at Duke
  3. connect with a Duke student

The Center for Sexual and Gender Diversity created this program as a means to connect sexual and gender diverse students and questioning students to others in the community. Therefore, we strive to ensure the program contains an element of confidentiality so that students feel comfortable expressing themselves.

The program consists a 1 year commitment for incoming students applying in the Fall and a 1 semester commitment for incoming students applying in the spring.
