Emilie joined the Fraternity & Sorority Life staff in July 2017. As the Associate Director, she oversees works most directly with the Interfraternity Council, and also oversees the team's bigger mission and vision through leading the FSL staff.

Emilie attended the University of Maryland (BA, Government & Politics), where she joined Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She then went on to NC State University (MAT, Elementary Education) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (MA, Student Affairs in Higher Education) before moving to Memphis, TN, where she worked in Fraternity/Sorority Life at the University of Memphis. Prior to joining the Student Life team at Duke, Emilie worked in Duke's Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative, where she helped manage the undergraduate certificate program.

Outside of work, Emilie loves running, going on adventures with her husband (Mason) and their dog (Luke), and searching for the best food in RDU. She also has a number of sports allegiances - aside from the Terps, Emilie loves the Boston Red Sox, Memphis Grizzlies, and the Carolina Panthers.

Theresa Survillion is the Assistant Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life and advises the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). She is a doctoral candidate studying Higher Education Administration. Her research interests focus on issues related to racial identity, gender identity, gender dynamics in leadership, and Millennials and Z's in higher education. Theresa holds a Master of Science Degree in Student Affairs Administration with certification in College Teaching and Gender Studies and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with an emphasis on Professional/Technical Writing from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Alison joined the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in 2014 and has lived in the Raleigh area for most of her life.  She earned a B.A. in Psychology from North Carolina State University and a M.S. in Counselor Education from East Carolina University.  Alison is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education at North Carolina State University.  Her areas of specialty are clinical mental health counseling and student development/college counseling.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family along with swimming, reading, yoga, and watching movies.

Grant graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication in 2012. While at JMU, Grant got involved with admissions, student government, volunteering and became an initiated member of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. After graduating, Grant worked for Alpha Epsilon Pi Inc., first as an Educational Leadership Consultant then as Director of Chapter Services. At AEPi International, Grant worked with 130 campuses in six countries. In addition to working with Duke Fraternity and Sorority Life, Grant lives in the North Carolina State University's Lambda Chi Alpha house as a Chapter Resident Director and will be pursuing a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration through State. When not doing work or studying you can find Grant playing sports, watching college basketball, listening to music or going on a hike.

Karishma joined the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life in September of 2016 as a Graduate Assistant for the Multicultural Greek Council. She is a member of Omega Phi Chi Sorority, Incorporated and was initiated in Spring 2014 at their Alpha Chapter in Rutgers University - New Brunswick. Karishma earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers, where she also majored in Exercise Science & Sport Studies and minored in Psychology. She has just begun her first semester as a Master of Engineering Candidate here at Duke University. Karishma enjoys painting, reading, watching movies with her friends as well strolling!
