Dear Duke Students, Scholars, and Employees:

Foreign Nationals are receiving phone calls and emails from scammers requesting payments, personal information, and immediate action to avoid immediate deportations/severe issues with a person’s visa status.  Remember,  U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officials will never ask for payment over the phone or in an email.  

If payment is required, a letter on official stationery will be physically mailed to you If you ever are unsure about the authenticity of the source:

  • Do not provide payment/personal information.
  • Record as much information about the call as possible.
  • Contact Duke Visa Services with this information so we may help determine if the request is legitimate and can provide any necessary instructions to assist you.

About us

Our Mission is to provide educational programs, services and advocacy to Duke global community on campus as well as outreach to the greater Durham area.  We offer extensive cross-cultural information and training to enhance the mission of the university.

International House is located at 300 Alexander Ave. on Duke's Central Campus. Our office hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm. You can drop by anytime during these hours, and an advisor will be available to assist you.

We also offer satellite office hours at the bottom floor of the Bryan Center on Wednesdays, 11am-1pm during the academic year, starting from September 6, 2017.
