Jewish Agency Israel Fellow

Jewish Life at Duke’s Israel Fellow brings Israel to our students and our students to Israel. Young Israeli professionals who have completed their education and their service in the IDF, Israel Fellows serve for two year on college campuses. At Duke, the Israel Fellow has introduced students to Israeli cooking, music, and Krav Maga; taught them key Hebrew phrases and some useful slang in Cafe Ivrit; and helped them better understand Israel’s election system.  The Israel Fellow also accompanies Duke students on the annual Birthright Israel trip, and facilitates other trips and internships in Israel for both undergraduate and graduate students.
