Welcome to Hollows Quad!

Hollows Quad is Duke’s newest residence hall, opening in fall 2019. Hollows Quad is a 700-bed residence hall made up of two connected buildings and offers suite-style living for upperclass students on Duke’s West Campus. Each suite features an en suite kitchenette, common area, one to two full bathrooms (depending on suite size), and both single and double room options. Suites range in size from two to seven students.

Hollows Quad was designed to move Duke closer to its aspiration of housing all upperclass students on West Campus, including all study-away students who return to campus for the spring semester. Ground was broken for Hollows Quad on March 15, 2017, and the building was timed to be opened following the closing of Central Campus in May 2019. Hollows Quad brings together the newest, most-up-to-date features in a Duke residence hall and provides more living choices for student housing on West Campus, so students can choose the housing option that is best for them.

All residence halls on West Campus fall under the quad concept, whether one building or multiple buildings. The quad concept identifies a larger community of houses. Hollows Quad is a community of ten houses.
