Afternoon Sessions

New Voices, New Visionaries: Building a Movement from the Inside Out
Sanford School Room 150
1:00-2:30 pm

With women's sexual and reproductive health under attack, both in the U.S. and overseas, it's imperative to be an advocate for reproductive rights. Join us in "New Voices, New Visionaries: Building a Movement from the Inside Out" to hear how women at Duke are protecting a woman's autonomy and how to join the movement yourself.

It's a Space Thing
Sanford School Room 150
1:00-2:30 pm

Men and masc-of-center people are often unaware of the vocal, physical, and positional space they take up. This over-consumption of space reduces female and femme-of-center agency and autonomy in a variety of contexts. At this workshop we will explore how to be more conscious of our own space in order to give more room to the growth of those around us.

Workshop Facilitated by:

Dr. Matt Ezzell
Associate Professor, Sociology
